You can help build the next generation of systems behind Facebook’s products, create web applications that reach millions of people, build high volume servers and be a part of a team that’s working to help connect people around the globe.

We include a team-matching process for all PhD interns to make sure there’s a good match between our current openings and your interests/research background.Our internships are typically twelve (12) weeks. We have various start dates throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Code high-volume software using primarily C++ and Java
  • Create web applications using primarily PHP
  • Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Build report interfaces and data feeds

Requirements

  • Pursuing PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise with C++ and/or Java
  • Knowledge of Perl or PHP or Python
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • High levels of creativity and quick problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2015
